Making a Choose Life license plate a reality in Texas!
Despite valiant lobbying efforts, hundreds of phone calls to the Capitol, and passage in both the Texas House and Senate, the Choose Life license plate bill did not pass during the 2009 81st Regular Session or the subsequent special session in July. On the final day of session, the bill to which it was amended died as a result of conflicts over unrelated issues.
We aren't giving up!
We will have another option to make the Choose Life license plate a reality in Texas during the 82nd Regular Session, which begins in January 2011. We still need your help!
Consider holding a petition drive in your church to support the Choose Life license plate, which will raise funds to promote adoption by equipping pregnancy resource centers and other pro-life organizations to capably offer this life-giving option to women. This will help to promote the choice of childbirth over abortion and assisting in the creation of healthy families through adoption.
