Thank you for your interest in the Choose Life license plate. Although Texas has over 130 specialty license plates, our state does not yet have the Choose Life plate. This website gives all the information you need to help make a Choose Life license plate a reality in Texas.

Goals of the Choose Life license plate:
We are very enthusiastic about the prospect of a Choose Life license plate in Texas because it will:
- Promote adoption, and other compassionate alternatives to abortion.
- Raise funds to assist women experiencing a crisis pregnancy. (Of the $30 fee for the plate, $22 will go to this mission and $8 will cover Texas Department of Transportation's production costs.)
The Choose Life plates are already on the road in 19 states; 400,000 plates have been sold or renewed; and over $9 million has been raised to help pregnant women!
Why not Texas?
The Texas Legislature must pass a bill to create the Choose Life license plate. The next opportunity begins in January 2009. In the meantime, we need your help to build grass roots support. Check out the tabs to the left to learn more.
Although the Texas Department of Transportation has an administration procedure for directly creating specialty plates, the Choose Life plate is not a candidate for this process because some people do not like its message.
Choose Life Texas Tour
Russ and Jill Amerling, the National Publicity Coordinators for Choose Life, Inc will tour Texas in September 2008 to promote the Choose Life license plates. The Choose Life Texas Tour will include most major and many smaller cities as well. Click on the tab at left for details.
